Gillian Kelly, Partner, KPMG
Gillian is Co-Head of Consulting for KPMG in Ireland and advises a range of leading financial services institutions in banking, insurance, leasing and investment management. Gillian has been with KPMG for over 20 years and in this time she has gained invaluable insight and knowledge across a variety of sectors and specialisms. Gillian leads the firm’s Conduct Risk and Culture services oversees the team bringing market leading services and insights to the sector.
Jacqueline Thornton, Director of Regulation & Policy Development and Company Secretary, Insurance Ireland
Jacqueline is the Director of Regulation and Policy Development at Insurance Ireland and leads the development of our Regulatory policy positioning with our members and she and her team support the technical aspects of our lobbying and advocacy. Prior to joining II, she worked in the UK for 15 years in a variety of regulatory policy & compliance roles within trade bodies, in-house compliance and consultants across a range of industries in financial services. Jacqueline enjoys nothing more than meeting members for coffee to discuss the regulatory hot topics domestically and from Europe and working with members to shape regulation so that the insurance industry can reach commercially viable and compliant solutions.
Donata Halpin, Associate Director in Risk Consulting, KPMG
Donata is an Associate Director in Risk Consulting with a broad range of experience across the broader consulting offering including risk, assurance and regulatory. Donata has specialised in Product Services providing assurance, compliance by design and product rationalisation across the financial services sector with a particular focus on Consumer Protection regulation and how that impacts our clients and their offerings. Donata will give an update on product oversight and governance and how it applies to the insurance industry.
Leticia Cashin, Director of Insurance Regulatory, KPMG
Leticia Cashin, Director, joined KPMG’s Insurance Regulatory practice from the CBI in 2017. Leticia has over 15 years of experience in the insurance sector covering insurance supervision and policy, consulting, audit and compliance. John and Leticia will give an overview of recent regulatory developments in Ireland and at EU level impacting (re)insurers, and Consultation Papers and other forthcoming regulatory requirements.
