The Central Bank of Ireland’s (CBI’s) Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR) has been live for 3 weeks. In this webinar PwC’s Julie Kennedy, FS Risk & Regulatory Partner and Muireann O’Keeffe, FS Risk & Regulatory Director will share reflections on their implementations experiences with Firms; what Day 2 compliance should look like and key areas of focus over the coming months as firms embed the regime; prepare for the upcoming Certification requirements; and INEDs becoming in scope of SEAR.

Speakers
Moyagh Murdock CEO, Insurance Ireland
Moyagh Murdock is the Chief Executive Officer of Insurance Ireland having taken over the role from Interim CEO Gerry Hassett in April 2020. Previously she was the CEO of the Road Safety Authority, a position she has held since February 2014. Prior to taking up the CEO role in the RSA, she was Chief Operating Officer for Bus Éireann after having first joined the company in 2007 as the Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer with responsibility for the fleet maintenance and garage operations. Originally from Newry, Co. Down, Moyagh graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering. She also holds an MBA from Dublin City University and a Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Transport Operations Management.
Julie Kennedy Partner, PwC FS Risk & Regulatory Advisory
Julie leads the financial services regulatory advisory team with PwC Irelnd. She is a fellow of the chartered institute of accountants and holds a professional certificate in conduct risk, culture and operational risk management. Julie is also an expert on the CBI Fitness and Probity Regime and is a co-leading PwC’s IAF Working Group. Julie has gained experience across a breadth of regulatory roles over the past twenty years, working in regulatory consulting in Ireland and London. Her international knowledge and practical experience of regulation crosses all types of industry from global banks, insurance firms to smaller Financial Services entities. Julie has extensive experience supporting clients on regulatory compliance engagements. Julie has led the design and delivery of IAF programmes, including SEAR requirements, for a number of large scale financial services providers.
