Jacqueline Thornton, Director Regulation and Policy Development, Insurance Ireland 

 

Jacqueline is the Director of Regulation and Policy Development at Insurance Ireland and leads the development of our Regulatory policy positioning with our members and she and her team support the technical aspects of our lobbying and advocacy. Prior to joining II, she worked in the UK for 15 years in a variety of regulatory policy & compliance roles within trade bodies, in-house compliance and consultants across a range of industries in financial services. Jacqueline enjoys nothing more than meeting members for coffee to discuss the regulatory hot topics domestically and from Europe and working with members to shape regulation so that the insurance industry can reach commercially viable and compliant solutions.

 

Olivia Mullooly, Partner, Arthur Cox

 

Olivia is a Partner in the Technology and Innovation Group and is head of the Arthur Cox Intellectual Property team. She advises on data protection, cyber security, intellectual property, and information technology matters. Olivia has experience in advising private companies, public companies and semi-state entities on the licensing, development and enforcement of intellectual property rights and on the negotiation of IT contracts generally. Olivia is a frequent contributor to leading privacy and technology publications and speaks regularly on data protection and related areas in Ireland, Europe and the US.

 

Aoife Mac Ardle, Senior Associate, Arthur Cox 

 

Aoife is a senior associate in our Technology and Innovation Group and advises on data protection and privacy, information technology, outsourcing, and e-business matters. Aoife advises on data privacy issues and commercial contracts for a range of domestic and international clients. Her work includes advising on GDPR compliance, international data transfers, high risk processing activities, data breaches, the exercise of data subject rights and regulatory investigations, as well as advising on services agreements with a technology element. Aoife also advises on intellectual property and freedom of information matters.

 

Rosemarie Blake, Associate, Arthur Cox 

 

Rosemarie Blake is an associate in the Technology and Innovation Group, advising on data protection, e-commerce, information technology, intellectual property, and commercial contracts. Prior to joining Arthur Cox, Rosemarie practised as a solicitor in London, completing her training at, and qualifying into the international division of one of the world’s largest providers of international private medical insurance, looking after insurance, commercial contracts and technology law.  Rosemarie is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe) (CIPP/E).
