The topics for this session are as follows:
Ø Risk in 2016 as seen through the eyes of the INED
Ø BREXIT discussion
Cecil Hayes is an INED with a number of prominent insurance companies, including Irish Life and St. James Place International and non-executive chairman of Liberty Insurance. He is also chairman of a number of technology companies including Version 1, Relay Software and Brite:Bill Holdings. In this session he will share his thoughts and perspective on the role of the CRO and the expectation of INEDs in the post Solvency II world. This interactive discussion promises to be an interesting insight into the working relationship between the CRO and the INED today.
All companies are likely to be affected by BREXIT to some extent but for some insurance and reinsurance companies it poses very significant questions. In our second session we intend to have a discussion on BREXIT in order to discuss the immediate actions CROs are taking and to allow the opportunity for CROs to raise any specific questions that are of interest. If any CRO has a specific question that they wish to raise on some other topic then we would also provide an opportunity to do so at the end of this session.
The CRO Forum is designed to be a high-level discussion group exclusively formed and attended by Chief Risk Officers of Insurance Ireland Member and Associate Member companies. The purpose of the series is to engender debate and discussion, facilitating peer learning, network building and the sharing of experience and knowledge in this community.
The nature of future events falling under this series will be informed by your inputs and feedback, to ensure the series continually delivers value to the network it is designed to engage.
This Insurance Ireland Event is open to Insurance Ireland members only or by invitation from our CEO.
