II/KPMG IFRS Forum for CFO’s Q4 #3

On Friday, 30th November Insurance Ireland & our Strategic Alliance Partners KPMG will host our third Insurance Ireland KPMG IFRS 17 Forum for CFOs.


Venue: KPMG, 1 Harbourmaster Place, IFSC, Dublin 1 D01E7E8, Ireland.

Time: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM.

The third forum will focus on the practical application of the new standard and recent developments in the TRG forum and the EU endorsement process.

In particular, we will address:

  • Practical application of the new standard to life and non-life contracts including illustration of differences between BBA and PPA approach;
  • VFA case study and illustrative example
  • Specific application of IFRS 17 for reinsurance contracts held
  • Updates on issues being discussed at TRG and status of EU endorsement process.

The KPMG presentation will be led by Aoife O’Brien, KPMG Non-Life Actuarial Lead for IFRS 17 and Niall Naughton, IFRS 17 Lead for KPMG, supported by Brian Morrissey, KPMG Head of Insurance.
