2017 is Insurance Ireland’s Year of Inclusion and we are delighted to have The National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) as our Charity of Choice for this year.

The Year of Inclusion will involve a calendar of events to highlight inclusion best practices in our member companies and draw on expert external resources to consider the business case for inclusion in insurance. The launch event will include industry and external speakers and will outline the four quarterly themes for the year, starting in Q1 with gender and our partnership with the 30% Club. Our first event will take place on Wednesday, 15th February in the Shelbourne Hotel. Full details will be made available in January on our events page. 

As part of our Year of Inclusion we have chosen the NCBI as our Charity of choice. The NCBI are passionate about ensuring that anyone affected by sight loss is given the support, technology and tools they need to live life to the full. Through their independent living skills, long cane training, counselling services, technology provisions, library services and schools programme they tackle the isolation that is often experienced by those with sight loss. 

Insurance Ireland is proud to support the NCBI and encourages its members to also support their work.
