It has been a busy month of appointments for Insurance Ireland. We are delighted to announce that Frank Mee, Deputy CEO/Finance Director, Allianz Worldwide Care has been appointed to Insurance Ireland board and as chairman of II’s International Council. We have also recruited three additional members to our Councils;

 •Ann Kelleher, Managing Director, Ark Life is joining the Life Council 

•Sheelagh Malin, Managing Director, St. James’s Place is joining our International Council 

•Eilish Finan is joining our INED Council. 

Finally, Ciaran McGettrick was appointed President of Insurance Ireland (II) for a one-year term in March. He succeeds Sean Casey of New Ireland, who has completed his term.

“I am honoured to be appointed President of II and look forward to working closely with Ireland’s Insurance companies across Life, General, Health and International. Helping to progressing with the support of the team in Insurance House II’s mandate on behalf of its members” Ciaran said. 

“Our sector makes a major contribution both economically and socially to our countries wellbeing, a contribution I will work tirelessly to promote and expand during my Presidency”, he added.
