Overview

As part of the Insurance Ireland INED Council’s ongoing work to support the industry’s INED community, we are partnered with Willis Towers Watson to deliver a series of Insurance Ireland’s INED Forums focusing on INEDs and their role in an ever-changing environment.

Theme: DORA – We will be joined by experts from Grant Thornton who will share the issues the industry faces to ensure continued compliance, the level of compliance received within the industry, the challenges companies faced, and their focus for 2025 in terms of maturing their frameworks.

Speakers

Moyagh Murdock, CEO, Insurance Ireland

Moyagh Murdock is the Chief Executive Officer of Insurance Ireland. Previously she was the CEO of the Road Safety Authority, as position she has held since February 2014. Prior to taking up the CEO role in the RSA, she was Chief Operating Officer for Bus Eireann after having her first joined the company in 2007 as the Deputy Mechanical Engineer with responsibility fo the fleet maintenance and garage operations. Originally from Newry, Co Down, Moyagh graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a B.Eng Mechanical Engineering. She also holds an MBS from Dublin City University and a Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Transport Operations Management.

 

Kevin Coleman, Partner, Regulatory and Risk, Grant Thornton

Kevin is an established regulatory and risk leader with more than 22 years in financial services regulation and risk experience. Kevin leads Grant Thornton’s financial services consulting offering in conduct and prudential risk and has worked on all sides of the table as a former banker, leading advisor and former senior regulator.

 

Brendan Ennis, Partner, Associate Director, Grant Thornton

Brendan joined Grant Thornton in 2016 and is an Associate Director on the Technology Risk Consulting Team. He has successfully supported organisations across Banking, Insurance and Investment Management sectors with achieving a robust level of compliance to DORA. Brendan is adept at interpreting and embedding regulatory requirements in a fit for purpose manner. Brendan frequently speaks at industry events on the topic of ICT Risk and DORA.
