On Friday, 15th September Insurance Ireland will hold its first Agewise Workshop in conjunction with Age & Opportunity. The focus of the workshop is ‘Combatting Ageism and Unconscious Bias’.

The workshop will take place in Insurance Ireland’s Office, 5 Harbourmaster Place, IFSC, Dublin 1.

 This is a half day workshop which will run from 8.30 am until 12.40pm.

 What does the workshop cover?

 The workshop enables participants to:

•  Understand the personal, cultural and structural effects of ageism
•  Identify instances of discrimination against ageing and older people
•  Challenge myths and stereotypes about ageing and older people
•  Devise strategies to counter age discrimination in their workplace or community.
