Insurance Ireland and KPMG have a Strategic Alliance Partnership on Conduct and the Customer. This Partnership considers existing and proposed regulation to deliver better regulatory outcomes for the consumer, the industry and the regulator. A series of industry briefings are being held throughout 2017 with KPMG’s Centre of Excellence to inform the industry’s response to developments in this area.
As part of our Strategic Alliance Partnership, Insurance Ireland and KPMG will hold our first Breakfast Briefing on Friday, 5th May on PRIIPs.
It is anticipated that the European Commission will publish the finalised RTS and Level 3 measures in May. The Briefing will summarise what has been confirmed to date, what remains to be clarified and the key issues and challenges.
This event will focus on the implementation projects firms will be required to undertake and how to approach them. It will also consider the learning points to be taken from the PRIIPs process to see how best to inform the regulatory process for future EU legislation.
