Employee Benefits Seminar

Insurance Ireland and The Insurance Institute of Ireland (III) are working together to deliver greater value to their respective members in the form of closer coordination in common areas of activity and service.
On the 2 September an Employee Benefits Seminar will take place with speaker Chris Burns, former CEO of Willis Global Solutions (Employee Benefits), a globally recognised expert in employee benefits who will discuss the global trends in this area and creating a culture of wellness in the workforce. The presentation will focus on Global Employee Benefit Trends and will cover the following topics:
- Growth and expansion of multinationals
- Deployment of global corporate governance and the trend towards centralisation of purchasing
- Global “War for Talent”
- Transition from defined benefit to defined contribution pensions
- Globalisation of healthcare and rapid rise of costs
- Demand for global data and analytics
Professor Gerard McHugh will deliver a briefing on the current III education, technical training and CPD programmes with particular emphasis on the needs and concerns of the HR and training professionals in the insurance sector.
A Q&A session will follow both presentations.

The event will take place at the Hilton Hotel, Charlemont Place, Dublin 2 from 12.30pm to 2pm. A light lunch will be provided.
