Overview
The Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 was enacted in July 2021. It will require employers to report on the difference in the average pay of women compared with men in their organisation, including any bonuses. The new requirements will mean employers will not only have to publish details of their gender pay gap but also the reasons for any gender pay gap and the measures being taken or proposed to reduce it. Regulations giving effect to the Act are on the way and will clarify when employers first need to report by. It is vital that employers start to prepare for gender pay gap reporting.
In this webinar, Michael Doyle and Triona Sugrue from the Employment Practice Group at A&L Goodbody will explain the detail of the legislation and the steps businesses should be taking now in order to prepare. These will include collecting the relevant data; conducting the analysis; preparing the narrative; and considering the legal issues that may arise in complying with the new statutory requirements.
