This webinar from the Pinsent Masons insurance & reinsurance team is provided as a follow up to last year’s reinsurance webinar by the Pinsent Masons Team entitled “Reinsurance 2020: What Does the Future Hold?”. In this year’s webinar the Pinsent Masons team will analyse the Irish reinsurance market and assess its current position following Brexit and separately, what the initial impacts of COVID-19 have been. In this session, we will look at three particular types of reinsurance transactions which are being frequently utilised in the current market: (i) loss portfolio transfers, (ii) adverse development cover and (iii) longevity transfers. We will also look at the reinsurtech activity in the last twelve months.
