Insurance Ireland / Accenture Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Breakfast Briefing

The Insurance Ireland-Accenture Innovation Task Force are delighted to invite you to the second in a series of industry breakfast briefings and engagements focused on innovation in insurance. This briefing will be on the Coming of Age of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

The agenda aims to highlight the potential disruptive or transformative effect AI will have on the insurance industry, and will also act as an opportunity for those new to AI to build an understanding of the core technologies and the general applications of AI.

In addition, the topic will be brought to life by the Accenture Innovation Centre in Dublin (an AI Center of Excellence) who will provide demos of AI in action within Insurance and beyond.

The briefing will be held in the Accenture Office The Dock 7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 on Wednesday 2nd August and will run from 8.00am until 9.30am. SPEAKERS 

Simon Tottman, Head of Insurance Research (UK & Ireland), Accenture   Simon Leads Accenture’s Insurance Reseach activities in the UK and Ireland, and also looks after the firm’s P&C research globally. He is part of Accenture Research – a team that identifies and anticipates game-changing industry and technology trends through provocative thought leadership. Beyond his client engagements, Simon is currently looking at how insurers can leverage technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics to drive innovation and create better outcomes for customers and employees alike. 
   
Matt O’Kane, Analytics’ Financial Service Practice Lead, Accenture  Matthew leads Accenture Analytics’ Financial Service practice in the UK & Ireland. His team helps clients re-engineer their business, powered by machine learning, AI and Big Data capabilities. Matthew brings over 15 years of experience across machine learning and advanced analytics, most recently collaborating with MIT to develop the first machine learning algorithms to solve prescriptive analytics problems. 
   
Dadong Wan, Dublin Artificial Intelligence R&D Lead, Accenture  Dadong is a Labs Fellow, and the Lead for Accenture Labs in Dublin, Ireland, which focuses on artificial intelligence. In this role, he is responsible for building up and managing the research team, defining the AI R&D agenda, and working with internal and external stakeholders to bring new AI capabilites to market. Prior to this role, he was leading the Industrial Internet R&D effort in Accenture Labs in Silicon Valley, and driving strategic relationship with key ecosystem partners in the industrial Internet, including Intel and GE. In addition, He also led the Open Innovation program for Health & Public Services. 
   
Medb Corcoran, Irish Intelligent Enterprise Analytics Lead Medb is the Intelligent Enterprise Analytics Lead at the Dock, Accenture’s global centre for innovation in Dublin which is a living, breathing innovation hub of over 200 specialist professionals with skills in artifical intelligence, advanced analytics, internet of things, digital marketing, design thinking and rapid software development and prototyping. She leads a team that researches, incubates, prototypes and pilots new technologies in the areas of Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence with pioneering clients across multiple industries and sectors.
