Insurance Ireland has an Inclusion Taskforce which was officially set up in 2016. In 2024, Anthony Kelly, Head of Communications and Culture, RSA Insurance took over as the new chair. The Inclusion Taskforce has representation from 30+ members and meets monthly to discuss DE&I initiatives within its membership & externally.
The aim of the group is to promote the benefits of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the Insurance Industry as a whole. To support the Central Bank’s remit on Culture, Diversity & Inclusion.
The three key areas of focus for the Inclusion Taskforce in 2024/25 are Neurodivergency, Disability and Generational Diversity. As a starting point it was agreed to engage with AsIAm (an Autism Charity) to work towards making the Insurance Industry the first Autism Friendly Industry in Ireland.
Insurance Ireland publishes a member DE&I newsletter twice a year capturing topics/themes/initiatives discussed at our Inclusion Taskforce meets.
