Invitation to Insurance Ireland’s Annual Industry Lunch – Monday, 24th April, 2017 at the Clayton Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4
This is the flagship annual gathering of the industry and it will be the first Annual Lunch held since the merger of Insurance Ireland and DIMA.
As our membership has grown, so has our remit and our ambition. This year’s Annual Lunch is an opportunity to consider the events of the past year and the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Cliff Taylor, Managing Editor, The Irish Times
Our Guest of Honour for the event is Cliff Taylor, the Managing Editor of The Irish Times. Cliff Taylor has worked in journalism since 1988, when he joined the Irish Times as a business and finance reporter. He subsequently worked for the Irish Times in a range of roles, including economics editor and finance editor. In 2005 he moved to become editor of the Sunday Business Post. He re-joined the Irish Times in October 2014 as Managing Editor.
Cliff is one of Ireland’s most influential commentators on business, economics and political matters. Cliff’s understanding of developments in these areas, and his ability to communicate their effects, is demonstrated on a weekly basis in his analysis of the key issues of the day including Brexit and national economic performance. As the negotiations on the UK’s exit from the EU begin, and as a new Taoiseach is selected, his analysis will no doubt provide great insight to attendees at our Annual Lunch.
