Insurance Ireland & Its Members Supporting the Pride Festival 2017


 

                                                                                          

 

Insurance Ireland launched the Industry Year of Inclusion in February 2017 with our Inclusion Breakfast Briefing which was attended by 240 members from across 90 companies. Our aim for 2017 is to raise awareness across a number of thematic areas throughout the year; namely Gender, LGBTI, Age, Disability and Culture.

In Quarter One, our focus was Gender and for Quarter Two we are exploring the LGBTI thematic. In this vein we held a policy workshop at Insurance Centre in the IFSC for our members senior HR staff. Sandra Healy, Head of Diversity and Inclusion, DCU presented practical insights into HR policies development with a particular focus on sustainable LGBTI initiatives.

The Annual Pride Parade & Run took place over the past two weekends. We were delighted to see so many of our members getting involved in the Pride Run and Pride Parade this year including Aviva, Allianz World Wide Care, Arthur Cox, Irish Life, MetLife, RSA Insurance, William Fry to mention a few.
