At II we engage interns to give us new perspective on the organisation because we know interns are good at questioning processes and bringing fresh thinking. In return we give our interns real and meaningful work and by doing so gain brand advocates. Here’s a little bit about our newest Intern.
Lingfang Wan is currently pursuing a Masters in Finance at UCD. She is working with Insurance Ireland until late August 2015.
From 2010 to 2014, Lingfang studied in Beijing Technology and Business University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She reached the top 5% ranking in academic performance and won the third prize for the School’s ‘Outstanding Student Scholarship’.
Lingfang has several internship experiences in financial areas. During 2014, she was involved in ‘Citibank Young Talent Program’ in Beijing. Her work involved producing Business Proposals, giving presentations, meeting customers and exploring their potential requirements. In 2013, she worked as an accountant assistant in Goldwind Science & Technology Co. LTD, Beijing, China where she assisted in organising the Accounting Voucher, Detail Account and Copy Tax Receipts. From June to September 2013, Lingfang worked as a Cashier in Finance Department in GE Healthcare in Beijing, China. She managed two GE Healthcare subsidies in Beijing and the Installment Business of Tianjin Company including payoff, opening of new accounts, settling accounts, arranging daily payments and making weekly cash forecasts.
Lingfang is a very hard working, motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in volunteer work. She volunteered at the Dublin Web Summit in 2014 and was also involved in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as a city volunteer.
We know Lingfang has a bright future and we welcome her presence at II through the summer as she helps us on a number of statistical projects.
