In response to the comment by President McAleese regarding the flood relief effort in today’s Irish Times (“President appeals to insurers for swift response to victims”, Marese McDonagh) the Irish Insurance Federation has issued the following statement to policyholders affected by the recent flooding.
Mike Kemp, Chief Executive, IIF said:
“Insurance companies are working around the clock to ensure that the thousands of policyholders affected by the recent floods are looked after as quickly as possible. The response of insurers has been swift and professional. Emergency helplines were immediately advertised by insurers in the media, while companies have reassigned staff in order to speed up inspections of flood damaged properties and to expedite the processing of claims”.
