When Insurance Ireland first opened its doors on 26th March 1986, it was as a result of three representative bodies; Federation of Insurers in Ireland, Irish Insurance Association, and the Life Offices Association of Ireland coming together to provide a single voice for our sector. Insurance Ireland over the years under the guidance of its Presidents and members have sought to keep to that original intent of being the voice of insurance. Today, with over 30 Committees and Working Groups serving 80+ member organisations Insurance Ireland turns 29 years old. We’ll be 30 next year, a big year for us which we are working toward with a focus on our hosting of the 8th Insurance Europe International Conference. As the year goes on we will reveal more about our history, it actually has a lineage going back to 1952!
