John Ryan, Chief Underwriting Officer, Allianz Ireland

John Ryan is a seasoned insurance professional who has served as Chief Underwriting Officer at Allianz Ireland since January 2024. With extensive expertise built through roles in retail underwriting, pricing, and actuarial analysis, and a strong educational background from University College Dublin and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, John brings a wealth of industry insight to the event.

Rory McElligott, Head of Climate Change Unit, Central Bank of Ireland

Rory McElligott leads the Climate Change Unit at the Central Bank of Ireland, driving the integration of climate risk and sustainable finance initiatives. With his participation on international committees such as NGFS and the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group and a background in organisational transformation and economics, Rory offers critical perspectives on the regulatory and strategic aspects of climate change.

Christopher Joyce, Policy Manager, Central Bank of Ireland

Christopher Joyce, a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, serves as Policy Manager within the Insurance Policy Team at the Central Bank. With over seven years of experience in both domestic and international financial topics, particularly relating to Solvency II and sustainable finance, Christopher is positioned to provide in-depth insights into transition planning.

Moyagh Murdock, CEO, Insurance Ireland

Moyagh Murdock brings a broad background in operational leadership from her previous roles at the Road Safety Authority and Bus Éireann. Since taking the helm at Insurance Ireland in April 2020, she has steered the organization with focus on industry advancement and consumer protection, making her a pivotal voice in sustainable transition.

Suzanne Laurent, Sustainability Manager, AXA Ireland

With two decades of industry experience, Suzanne Laurent oversees the implementation of AXA Ireland’s Sustainability Strategy. Her expertise spans from catastrophe risk management from her time at Lloyd’s of London to leading sustainability initiatives for AXA. Suzanne is dedicated to integrating transition planning into successful sustainability strategies.
