Overview

Insurance Ireland in partnership with A&L Goodbody is delighted to welcome you to our upcoming webinar. The session will focus on Greenwashing – Treading water or greendrowning? In a short space of time, greendrowning risk has become a major component of the ESG & Sustainability megatrend.

In this session, a team of experts from A&L Goodbody will address this and other closely connected customer engagement risks. Among other matters, the webinar will outline the nature of greenwashing: as well as key pitfalls to avoid; recent and pipeline legal/regulatory developments and their impact. It will also include a round-up of recent views and soundings from Europe and the CBI on the topic, including taking a look at the Central Bank of Ireland’s revised Consumer Protection Code through green-tinted lenses.

Laura Mulleady is a partner in A&L Goodbody’s Corporate practice, specialising in insurance & Reinsurance. Laura is also the Head of A&L Goodbody’s ESG & Sustainability Steering Group, and she regularly presents to insurance industry clients on ESG and sustainability-related topics.

Sinead Lynch, Partner, A&L Goodbody

Sinead Lynch is a partner in A&L Goodbody’s Corporate practice, specialising in Insurance & Reinsurance. Sinead is a member of the firm’s ESG & Sustainability Steering Group and advises on a wide range of ESG and sustainability-related topics. Her experience covers a wide range of aspects of insurance and reinsurance law and regulation.

Jill Shaw, ESG & Sustainability Lead, A&L Goodbody

As ESG & Sustainability Lead, Jill supports A&L Goodbody’s clients and practice groups on ESG and sustainability matters. She has a particular focus on sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements including the obligations introduced by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

Denise Daly Byrne, Partner, A&L Goodbody

Denise Daly Byrne is a partner in the Disputes & Investigatons group and a member of the firm’s specialist Consumer Law team. She regularly advises B2C clients on all aspects of consumer law, from proactive compliance projects to customer disputes and regulatory engagements.

Laura Corrigan is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Disputes & Investigations group and specialises in advising clients on regulatory risks and investigations. Laura has extensive experience in advising clients in all aspects of their regulatory obligations and engagement.
