The Annual Fraud Conference
is now in its twelfth year. The Insurance Ireland Fraud Conference has become a must-attend event for anyone keen to understand developments in insurance fraud from prevention and detection to industry collaboration with stakeholders. The conference has gone from strength to strength by facilitating an industry conversation on how best to address fraud across all classes of insurance, while promoting conversations with key external stakeholders. The aim of the Fraud Conference is to increase the industry’s capacity to tackle fraud through learning from local experts and by facilitating cross-industry discussions on how to respond to this evolving issue. This year’s theme is ‘Managing the Fraud Risk in a Digital Transformation Age’, with a focus on the evolving digital landscape. The MC for the morning session is Conor Faughnan, he is a Transport & Communications Consultant and a well-known commentator on transport and safety matters. With an esteemed lineup of Speakers including Brendan O’Connell, Partner, RDJ Solicitors, Jes Westerman, Director & Kaye Sydenham, Product Manager, Verisk, Assistant Commissioner, Paula Hilman, An Garda Siochana who will speak about all the work the Gardai are doing and the use of the Irish Motor Insurance Database (IMID), Matthew Cantle, Executive Vice President, Allied Universal Compliance & Investigations, Shane McCabe, Strategic Account Manager, Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions, Simon Peck, Chief Medical Advisor, Kirontech and we will end the day with Professor Alan Smeaton, Professor of Computing at Dublin City University, an award-winning and highly decorated academic researcher and Barry Scanell, Partner, William Fry, both Members of the Irish Government’s Advisory Council on AI who will share their views on the future of AI/Data in combatting fraud.  Please see our dedicated website for further information and to register for this event here.
